Hello toad

Feared I had somehow accidentally killed my resident toad, but last night's deluge must have encouraged the slugs and snails out to tempt him. We stared at each other fondly through my french windows, although, to be honest, I'm not entirely sure my warm feelings were reciprocated, but what can you do.

    Perhaps he might respond more fondly if you took a really nice portrait of him and showed it to him - or even put it up in your living room. You can't just expect animals to like you for no reason you know

    I considered it, but thought he might not appreciate the flash. It can bleach one out can it not?
